How to Schedule LinkedIn Posts (Profiles and Company Pages)

LinkedIn logo

LinkedIn rewards people and companies who show up regularly with useful posts. But the best times to post on LinkedIn fall right in the middle of the working day, when you’re usually busy doing the work. Scheduling fixes that.

This guide explains how to schedule LinkedIn posts for both your personal profile and your company Page, what LinkedIn’s native scheduler can and can’t do, and when a third-party tool makes more sense.

Can you schedule posts on LinkedIn?

Yes. LinkedIn has a built-in scheduler for both personal profiles and company Pages, on desktop and mobile. You can schedule a post anywhere from 10 minutes to three months in advance.

How to schedule a LinkedIn post on desktop

  1. Click Start a post on your home feed.
  2. For a company Page, choose the Page from the dropdown at the top of the composer (you need admin access).
  3. Write your post and add images, video or a document.
  4. Click the clock icon next to the Post button.
  5. Choose the date and time, then click Next.
  6. Click Schedule.

How to schedule a LinkedIn post on mobile

  1. Tap Post in the LinkedIn app.
  2. Write your post and add media.
  3. Tap the clock icon in the top-right corner.
  4. Pick the date and time and tap Next.
  5. Tap Schedule.

How to view, edit or delete scheduled LinkedIn posts

Open the post composer, click the clock icon and choose View all scheduled posts. From there you can reschedule, edit or delete a post using the three-dot menu.

Limits of LinkedIn’s native scheduler

LinkedIn’s built-in scheduling covers most everyday posts, but there are gaps:

  • Company Pages can’t schedule polls, reshares or multi-photo posts, according to Buffer’s 2026 guide.
  • You can’t schedule posts to groups, events, jobs or services.
  • It’s LinkedIn only. There’s no shared calendar with your other networks.
  • Limited teamwork. There’s no built-in review and approval step for a manager or client.

Scheduling LinkedIn with a social media scheduler

A scheduler is worth it if LinkedIn is one of several networks, if you manage LinkedIn Pages for clients, or if posts need approval before they go out. In GoBrandIt:

Stuck on the first line? Our guide on how to write social media captions with AI includes a LinkedIn prompt you can copy.

  1. Connect your LinkedIn account. (LinkedIn Pages support in GoBrandIt is coming soon.)
  2. Write your post in the composer and select LinkedIn plus any other networks.
  3. Tailor the LinkedIn version: a clearer takeaway, fewer hashtags, a professional tone.
  4. Schedule it or add it to your queue.
  5. Send it for review if a colleague or client needs to sign off.

Everything lands on one content calendar, so your LinkedIn posts line up with your Instagram, Facebook and X plans.

When to schedule LinkedIn posts

LinkedIn is a working-hours network. Sprout Social’s 2026 data points to Tuesday to Thursday, 11 am to 5 pm local time as the strongest window. For more detail, see our guide to the best time to post on social media.

Tips for LinkedIn posts that perform

  • Lead with a strong first line. Only two or three lines show before “see more”.
  • Share real experience. Lessons, numbers, mistakes and behind-the-scenes stories beat generic advice.
  • Use short paragraphs. White space makes posts easier to read on mobile.
  • Keep hashtags to a few relevant ones, or skip them.
  • Reply to comments quickly, especially in the first hour.
  • Post as people, not just the Page. Founders and team members often get more reach than company Pages, so plan both.
  • Try documents and carousels. Multi-page documents are a popular LinkedIn format for tips and frameworks.

  2. Tuesday to Thursday: schedule them for late morning or early afternoon.
  3. Daily: spend 10 minutes commenting on posts in your industry.
  4. Friday: check which post got the most comments and write a follow-up.
