Social Media Scheduler Nepal: 6-Point Buyer’s Checklist (2026)

Picking a social media scheduler? Nepal adds six practical checks to the usual feature list: can you pay without a dollar card, does it schedule in Nepal Time (UTC+5:45), does it help you plan around Dashain, Tihar and Nepali New Year, can you write and design in Devanagari, does the free plan cover your accounts, and who answers when something breaks. These six matter more than any feature, because they decide whether you can actually use the tool every week.

GoBrandIt bills Nepali customers in rupees, so we have a bias. We've kept this checklist fair anyway, with prices checked on each company's own pricing page on 13 October 2026. If another tool fits you better, the table below will show it.

Our short pick for the best social media scheduling software in Nepal: start on a free plan, and when you're ready to pay, choose a tool you can pay for in NPR so a dollar-card limit never takes your posting offline.

The short version

Most schedulers bill in US dollars by card; Nepali prepaid dollar cards are capped at USD 500 a year.

Set your tool's time zone to Kathmandu (UTC+5:45), not India, or every post lands 15 minutes off.

Plan festival posts weeks ahead: Tihar's Laxmi Puja falls on 8 November this year.

GoBrandIt costs Rs. 2,500 to Rs. 15,000 a year, paid by eSewa or bank transfer.

1. Can you pay for it from Nepal?

This is the check most buyer's guides skip, and it's the one that bites first. Nearly every international scheduler bills in US dollars by card. From Nepal, that usually means a prepaid dollar card from your bank.

Those cards have a ceiling. Machhapuchchhre Bank, for example, lists an annual load limit of USD 500 on its Smart Dollar Card, and that same USD 500 has to cover every other subscription you pay for: Canva, Google Workspace, Meta ads, domain renewals. A scheduler billed at $99 a month uses your whole year's limit in five months.

Questions to ask before you sign up:

Can I pay in NPR through eSewa, Khalti or bank transfer?

If it's dollars only, does the yearly price fit inside my card limit with my other subscriptions?

What happens if a renewal payment fails? Do scheduled posts stop?

Will I get a VAT-friendly invoice my accountant can use?

Tip

If you must pay in dollars, pay yearly in one go. One large payment is easier to plan around a card limit than twelve monthly ones.

2. Does it schedule in Nepal Time (UTC+5:45)?

Nepal runs 5 hours 45 minutes ahead of UTC and 15 minutes behind India, according to timeanddate.com. Some tools group South Asia under one zone, or default to Kolkata. If yours does, a post you set for 7:00 pm goes out at 6:45 pm Nepal Time. That's not a disaster once. Across a year of campaigns, with countdown posts and "sale starts at midnight" announcements, it adds up.

In any tool you trial, open settings and look for Asia/Kathmandu. Then schedule a test post for an odd time like 8:15 pm and check when it actually goes live. In GoBrandIt, your Posting Schedule (the times your queue fills) runs in your own time zone, so the queue posts at the Kathmandu times you set.

Timing still matters more than the tool. Our research on the best time to post in Nepal is a good starting point for those slots.

3. Does it help you plan around Nepali festivals?

In Nepal, the festival calendar is the content calendar. Dashain began on 11 October this year, and Laxmi Puja during Tihar falls on 8 November 2026. Nepali New Year (Baisakh 1) arrives in mid-April. Shops, restaurants and hotels plan offers around all three, and brands that start posting the week of the festival are already late.

Most international tools ship holiday calendars built around the US and Europe. Look for:

A calendar that includes Nepali festivals, not just Christmas and Black Friday.

A countdown or reminder so you start festival content 3 to 4 weeks early.

A month view where you can drag posts around when festival dates shift by a day.

Repeat or evergreen options for posts you run every festival season.

This is one area where we built specifically for Nepal. The GoBrandIt dashboard shows a festival countdown and a "Plan the year" calendar of festivals, sale days, holidays and awareness days by country, and you can add your own team events to it.

4. Can you write and design in Nepali?

Typing Devanagari into a caption box works almost everywhere, because the networks handle Unicode. The trouble starts in design. Many template editors don't ship Devanagari fonts, so Nepali text on a festival graphic either breaks or falls back to an ugly system font.

Test both sides in a trial: write a caption in Nepali, then put "शुभ दीपावली" on a design template and export it. If the letters render properly, you're fine. GoBrandIt's Social Designer includes Nepali (Devanagari) type, and our AI Copilot answers questions in English, Nepali or Romanized Nepali. 5. Social media scheduler Nepal prices compared

Here's what seven tools charge, checked on their own pricing pages on 13 October 2026. Rupee figures for dollar plans use Nepal Rastra Bank's USD selling rate of Rs. 153.54 that day; your bank will add its own charges on top.

Dollar plans aren't bad value everywhere. Buffer's free plan gives you 3 channels with 10 scheduled posts each, Metricool's free plan includes an inbox and competitor tracking, and Hootsuite has deeper team features than we do. The issue in Nepal is how you pay, not what you get.

6. Who helps you when it breaks?

Facebook disconnects your Page. A Reel fails at 11 pm the night before a launch. These things happen on every tool because the networks change their rules often. What matters is how fast you find out and how fast you can fix it.

Warnings: does the tool tell you before a connection expires, or after posts fail?

Retry: can you resend a failed post to just the account that failed?

Support hours: is anyone answering during Nepali business hours, or only US daytime?

Language: can you explain the problem in Nepali if that's easier?

GoBrandIt's dashboard flags failed posts, expiring connections and empty weeks, and you can retry a failed post on only the accounts that failed. For the wider picture of tools that sell here, see our list of the best social media management tools in Nepal.

Frequently asked questions

Which social media scheduler accepts eSewa in Nepal?

GoBrandIt accepts eSewa and bank transfer for yearly plans in NPR. Most international schedulers, including Buffer, Hootsuite and Later, bill in US dollars.

Is there a free social media scheduler for Nepali businesses?

Yes. Meta Business Suite is free for Facebook and Instagram. GoBrandIt, Buffer, Publer and Metricool all have free plans with different account and post limits.

What time zone should I use for scheduling in Nepal?

Use Asia/Kathmandu, which is UTC+5:45. India's time zone is 15 minutes ahead, so selecting it will shift every post.

Can I pay for Hootsuite or Buffer with a Nepali card?

You'll usually need a prepaid dollar card from your bank. Banks such as Machhapuchchhre Bank cap these at USD 500 a year, which has to cover all your online subscriptions.

When should I schedule Dashain and Tihar posts?

Start three to four weeks before the festival. Build the content in one sitting, schedule it, then use the remaining time to answer comments and messages.
