Social Media Management Nepal: The Rs. 0 to Rs. 15,000 Tool Stack

Social media management Nepal-style doesn't need a big software bill. A shop, café, hotel or agency can run scheduling, design, AI captions, an inbox and analytics for somewhere between Rs. 0 and Rs. 15,000 a year, paid in rupees. The trick is knowing which tier you actually need. This guide lays out affordable social media management tools for Nepali businesses at four budgets, and which dollar-priced tools to skip until you outgrow the cheap ones.

Below is the stack we'd recommend at four budgets, with real numbers. GoBrandIt prices are our own. Prices for international tools were checked on their pricing pages on 13 October 2026, and we've converted them at Nepal Rastra Bank's USD selling rate that day (Rs. 153.54) so you can compare like for like.

If you're short on time: start free, move to Rs. 2,500 a year when you need more than 3 accounts, and only consider dollar tools when your team needs something specific they do better.

The short version

Rs. 0 covers a new shop: GoBrandIt Free, Meta Business Suite, Canva Free and a Google Business Profile.

Rs. 2,500 a year suits cafés and creators; Rs. 7,000 suits hotels and multi-branch shops.

Rs. 15,000 a year gives an agency 10 client workspaces and unlimited AI with its own key.

Dollar tools are often good but cost Rs. 27,000 to over Rs. 180,000 a year and eat into a USD 500 card limit.

Rs. 0: the free stack for a new shop

If you're starting out with a Facebook Page, an Instagram account and maybe TikTok, you don't need to pay anything yet. This combination covers the basics properly:

GoBrandIt Free: 3 social accounts, 15 scheduled posts, 2 team members, 250 MB storage, 50 AI credits a month, the Social Designer, inbox, Idea Board and the Android app. No card needed.

Meta Business Suite: Meta's own free tool for scheduling and messages on Facebook and Instagram. Handy as a backup and for Messenger.

Canva Free: Canva has a free plan, and GoBrandIt connects to Canva if you already design there.

Google Business Profile: free to create, and it's where people find your shop on Maps. Connect it and post offers from the same calendar.

The limit you'll hit first is 15 scheduled posts. If you plan a month at a time, you'll outgrow Free quickly, and that's the signal to move up.

Tip

A short caption costs under 1 AI credit, so 50 credits a month is plenty for captions. AI images need a paid plan.

Rs. 2,500 a year: cafés, salons and solo creators

Creator is the plan we'd put most small Nepali businesses on. For Rs. 2,500 a year (about Rs. 208 a month) you get 10 accounts, 30 scheduled posts, 4 team members, 5 GB of storage and 300 AI credits a month, plus AI images and photo edits.

Picture a Thamel café with Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and Google Business Profile. A realistic week looks like this:

1. Sunday morning: open the Idea Board, pick five ideas (new menu item, staff pick, a customer photo, a weekend offer, a behind-the-counter Reel).

2. Write captions with the AI assistant in your Brand Voice, then "Adapt with AI" for each network.

3. Make the graphics in the Social Designer, with your logo and colours saved in the Brand Kit.

4. Add everything to the queue so it fills your Kathmandu posting times.

5. Check the inbox twice a day for comments, messages and Google reviews.

That's an hour or two a week, and it beats posting "whenever someone remembers". For timing, use our guide to the best time to post in Nepal, and borrow lines from our Nepali social media captions when you're stuck.

Rs. 7,000 a year: hotels and multi-branch businesses

Business makes sense once more than a couple of people touch your social media, or you run several branches. For Rs. 7,000 a year you get 25 accounts, 150 scheduled posts, 6 team members, 10 GB of storage and 1,000 AI credits a month.

A Pokhara hotel is the classic case. Marketing writes the posts, the owner wants to see them first, and the front desk answers booking questions. With six seats on Business, you can:

Turn on the approval workflow so nothing goes live without sign-off.

Post offers and events to Google Business Profile with buttons like Book or Call now, and reply to reviews.

Share Instagram posts to feed and Stories together with "Also share to Story".

Group a festival push under a campaign with dates and track how it's going.

Dashain and Tihar are where this tier pays for itself. 150 scheduled posts is enough to load a whole festival season across several accounts weeks in advance, then spend festival week answering messages instead of making graphics.

Rs. 15,000 a year: Kathmandu agencies

Agency is built around clients. For Rs. 15,000 a year you get 50 accounts, 10 client workspaces, 100 scheduled posts, 5 team members, 5 GB of storage and unlimited AI when you connect your own AI key. Each client sits in its own workspace, so posts, people and accounts never mix between brands.

Client review links save the most back-and-forth. You send a feed-style preview link and the client approves or comments without creating an account. No more WhatsApp screenshots and "which version was final?"

Be honest with yourself about volume. Agency includes fewer scheduled posts (100) and less storage (5 GB) than Business. If you manage one big client with lots of media, Business may suit you better. More on how workspaces work on our agencies page.

Dollar-priced tools: honest notes

Plenty of good international tools sell in Nepal. They're just priced in US dollars and paid by card, which adds two problems: exchange rates move, and prepaid dollar cards have a yearly limit. Machhapuchchhre Bank, for example, caps its Smart Dollar Card at USD 500 a year, shared with all your other online subscriptions.

Social media management Nepal: pick your tier in five minutes

Count three things: accounts, people, and posts you schedule ahead in a typical month. Then match them to the plan.

3 accounts or fewer, 1 to 2 people: stay on Free until 15 scheduled posts feels tight.

Up to 10 accounts, up to 4 people: Creator, Rs. 2,500.

Up to 25 accounts, up to 6 people, approvals needed: Business, Rs. 7,000.

Several clients who need separate brands: Agency, Rs. 15,000.

Running out of AI credits mid-month doesn't force an upgrade. You can buy a credit pack any time with eSewa, bought credits never expire, and your plan credits are used first. That's the cheapest way to cover a busy festival month among affordable social media management tools for Nepali businesses.
