Social Media Management India 2026: 5 Tools, Real ₹ and $ Prices

Social media management India-style comes down to three decisions: which networks deserve your time, how to plan around a festival calendar that shapes your busiest months, and which tool to pay for, in rupees or in dollars. For most small businesses, D2C brands and creators, the short answer is Instagram and YouTube first, a tool that costs less per year than one paid collaboration, and a content plan built backwards from Diwali.

We checked five tools on their own pricing pages on 13 October 2026 and noted which ones show rupee prices. Our quick pick: Zoho Social if paying in INR matters most, GoBrandIt if you want the most accounts, AI and design for the least money and can pay in USD by card, and Buffer if you only run two or three channels and want to stay free.

Full disclosure: GoBrandIt is our product. We've tried to be fair, and we say plainly where the others do better.

The short version

TikTok has been blocked in India since June 2020, so short video means Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.

Zoho Social showed rupee prices for India when we checked; SocialPilot, Buffer, Hootsuite and GoBrandIt price in US dollars.

GoBrandIt Creator is $50 a year for 10 accounts and 300 AI credits a month, paid by card.

Start festival content four to six weeks before Navratri and have Diwali posts scheduled before the rush.

Which networks matter for Indian businesses in 2026

Start with what's off the table. On 29 June 2020 the Ministry of Electronics and IT blocked 59 apps, TikTok among them, under Section 69A of the IT Act (PIB press release). In August 2025, after reports that TikTok's website was loading for some users, government sources told All India Radio that no order had been issued to lift the ban. We found nothing since that changes it, so plan as if TikTok doesn't exist for your Indian audience.

For short video, that leaves Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. Shoot vertical once, then post a version to each. Here's how the rest of the mix usually splits:

Instagram: Reels, carousels and Stories. The main shop window for D2C brands, cafés, salons, coaches and creators.

YouTube: Shorts for reach, longer videos for demos, reviews and tutorials, often in a regional language.

Facebook: still useful for local groups and older customers, and it's where your Meta ads live.

LinkedIn: for B2B, SaaS, hiring and founder-led brands.

Google Business Profile: not a social network, but it's where nearby customers check your hours, photos and reviews.

X and Threads: news, tech audiences and quick customer service.

WhatsApp sits beside all of this. For a lot of small Indian businesses, it's where a conversation that started on Instagram ends up as an order. Treat it as your billing counter rather than a publishing channel, and make every post's next step obvious.

What a social media management tool for Indian businesses should do

Before you compare prices, check the basics. A social media management tool for Indian businesses should handle the formats people here actually watch, and the way small teams here actually work:

Schedule Reels, Stories and Shorts, not just image posts, with a separate caption for each network.

Show a calendar you can drag posts around on, because festival plans change.

Pull comments and DMs into one inbox so customers don't wait while you switch apps.

Let a founder or client approve posts before they go live.

Cost something that makes sense in rupees, whether it bills in INR or in dollars.

If you're weighing more than two or three options, our social media management tool checklist goes through each point in more detail.

Honest notes on each option

Zoho Social: the rupee option

Zoho Social is the obvious pick if INR billing matters. Its pricing page switches to rupees for India: Standard is ₹600 a month billed yearly, Professional ₹1,725 and Premium ₹2,595. Its channel list includes Arattai, and Premium adds a WhatsApp Business account and 3 team members. The catch is that every plan below Agency covers one brand, and Standard and Professional allow one team member. Two brands or a helper, and add-ons push the bill up.

SocialPilot: solid, priced in dollars

SocialPilot starts at $17 a month billed yearly for 5 accounts and 1 user. Standard, at $34 a month yearly, gives 10 accounts, 3 users, bulk scheduling and an inbox. A good fit for a small agency that bulk-loads content and doesn't mind dollar billing.

Buffer: simplest for two or three channels

Buffer's free plan covers 3 channels with 10 scheduled posts per channel, which is enough for a creator on Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn. Paid plans charge per channel, so the bill grows with every account you add. If you'll stay small, it's hard to beat.

Hootsuite: for bigger teams

Hootsuite's Standard plan starts at $99 per user per month and covers up to 10 accounts, with social listening and competitor benchmarking included. That's genuinely useful for a large brand team. For most Indian small businesses, it's more tool than you need.

GoBrandIt: most features per dollar

Creator is $50 a year for 10 accounts, 30 scheduled posts, 4 team members, 300 AI credits a month and AI images. Business is $120 a year for 25 accounts, 150 scheduled posts and 6 team members. You also get the Social Designer (300+ templates), an engagement inbox, Brand Voice for AI captions, and Instagram feed, Reel or Story posting with "Also share to Story". You can set YouTube titles and visibility, and post offers to Google Business Profile and reply to reviews.

What we don't do: there's no INR price, as India pays in USD by card. Our Copilot chat answers in English and Nepali, not Hindi. The Android app is out now, with iPhone coming soon. And if you schedule a lot ahead, Creator's 30 scheduled posts can feel tight, so look at Business.

Festival season: plan Navratri to Diwali in one sitting

For many Indian brands, the run from Navratri through Dussehra to Diwali is the busiest stretch of the year for content and orders. Festival dates follow the lunar calendar and move every year, so confirm this year's dates first, then work backwards:

1. Six weeks out: list your offers, gift bundles and stock limits, and pick your sale days.

2. Four weeks out: map the posts on a calendar. Teaser, offer launch, gift guide, customer Reels, festive greeting, last-delivery-date reminder.

3. Three weeks out: make all the creatives in one batch, sized for feed, Story and Reel, and Shorts.

4. Two weeks out: schedule everything, with a separate caption for each network.

5. Festival week: live in the inbox. Answer delivery, size and payment questions fast.

GoBrandIt's dashboard has a "Plan the year" calendar of festivals, sale days and holidays by country, plus a festival countdown, so Diwali doesn't sneak up on you. Prefer a spreadsheet? Our social media content calendar template does the job.

Tip

Schedule your "last day for Diwali delivery" post early and pin it. It'll save you a pile of repeat DMs.

Social media management India: our pick by business type

Local shop, café or salon in one city: start on GoBrandIt Free or Buffer Free, and set up Google Business Profile properly.

D2C brand on Instagram and YouTube: GoBrandIt Creator or Business if dollars are fine; Zoho Social Professional if you need rupee invoices.

Solo creator: Buffer Free for 3 channels, or GoBrandIt Creator if you want AI captions and a designer in the same place.

Agency with Indian clients: GoBrandIt Agency is $240 a year for 10 client workspaces and 50 accounts. Zoho Social Agency is ₹13,800 a month billed yearly for 10 brands. More in our guide to social media management for agencies.

Large team that needs listening: Hootsuite.

Still torn? Run two free trials in the same week with the same five posts. Whichever one you actually open on day four is the right social media management tool for your Indian business. For more budget picks, see our roundup of affordable social media management software.

Paying for a tool from India: rupees or dollars

Rupee billing is simpler for your accounts. Dollar billing means your bank's exchange rate on the day, plus any foreign transaction charges your card carries, so make sure your card is enabled for international online payments before a trial ends.

Whichever currency you pay in, pay yearly where you can. Zoho Social, SocialPilot and Buffer all show lower prices for yearly billing, and GoBrandIt's yearly plans cost less than twelve monthly payments. One payment a year also means one conversion and one invoice to file. GoBrandIt's paid plans come with a 14-day free trial and a 7-day money-back guarantee.

Try GoBrandIt free, no card needed
