If you need a free social media scheduler for multiple accounts, Zoho Social gives you the most in a single plan: 6 channels, one of each type. Metricool and Adobe Express let you connect one account per network. Buffer, Publer and GoBrandIt each allow 3. None of them lets you run several separate brands on a free plan, so if that's your real goal, skip to the section on running multiple brands.
We checked every limit below on the company's own pricing page or help center on 13 October 2026. Account counts look simple, but each tool counts differently, and the post limits vary even more. Read the small print in the second section before you connect anything.
The short version
Most accounts on one free plan: Zoho Social, with 6 channels in one brand.
Buffer, Publer and GoBrandIt allow 3; Publer's 3 can't include X.
Free plans are one brand or one workspace. Several brands means several tools, or a cheap paid plan.
GoBrandIt Creator covers 10 accounts for $4.99 a month if juggling free tools gets old.

Zoho Social's six free channels are one X profile, one Instagram profile, one Facebook Page, one LinkedIn Company Page, one LinkedIn profile and one Google Business Profile, as listed on Zoho Social's pricing page. That's a strong spread for a B2B firm or local business. It's weak for creators who live on TikTok or YouTube.
What counts as an account (it differs by tool)
Two tools can both say 3 accounts and mean different things. Here's how the main ones count.
Publer counts every social account as one. Two Facebook Pages and one Facebook Group use up all three free slots.
Zoho Social gives you one of each type. You can't swap the LinkedIn profile slot for a second Instagram account.
Metricool gives you one brand, with one profile per network inside it. You can rename the brand on free, but not add or delete brands.
Buffer counts channels, and the free plan connects up to 3 of them on any network it supports.
GoBrandIt counts connected social accounts, across 13 networks, inside one workspace.
Post limits differ too. Buffer and Publer cap posts waiting in the queue at once, so a slot frees up when a post publishes. Metricool and Pallyy cap posts per month. Publer also removes published posts from its history after 24 hours on the free plan, and on Publer's help page it notes Pinterest accounts need at least 100 followers or a claimed website.
Tip
Count the accounts you post to every week, not the ones you might use someday. Most small businesses actually post to three or four.
The free plans ranked by number of accounts
1. Zoho Social: 6 channels. The widest free spread, with both LinkedIn types and Google Business Profile. One brand and one team member.
2. Metricool: one profile per network. No LinkedIn on free and X is a paid add-on. 20 posts a month, 30 days of analytics.
3. Adobe Express: one account per network. Scheduling lives inside a design app, which suits people who make graphics first. Adobe's pricing page doesn't say how many networks that covers, so check before you commit.
4. Buffer: 3 channels. 10 queued posts per channel and unlimited AI Assistant use.
5. GoBrandIt: 3 accounts. Any of our 13 networks, 15 scheduled posts and 2 team members.
6. Publer: 3 accounts, excluding X. 10 queued posts per account.
7. Pallyy: 1 social set. 15 posts a month, image posts only.
Meta Business Suite sits outside the ranking. It's free and handles Facebook and Instagram, including several assets in a business portfolio, but it won't post anywhere else. Plenty of businesses pair it with one of the tools above.
Raw account count isn't everything. Buffer's 3 channels with 30 queued posts may get you further than a plan with more accounts and 20 posts a month. Match the limit to how often you post.
How to run several brands with a free social media scheduler
Every free plan here is built for one brand. Metricool and Zoho Social say so outright, and Publer and GoBrandIt give you one workspace. If you look after two or three brands, you have three honest options.
Option 1: one tool per brand
Put Brand A in Buffer, Brand B in Zoho Social and Brand C in GoBrandIt. Each stays inside its free limits, and nothing gets posted to the wrong page by accident. The cost is three logins, three calendars and no single view of the week. Check each tool's terms before opening a second free account on the same service, rather than assuming it's allowed.
Option 2: split by network
Use Meta Business Suite for every brand's Facebook and Instagram, then one other free scheduler for the networks Meta doesn't cover, like TikTok or LinkedIn. This works best when most of your posting happens on Meta's platforms.
Option 3: pay a little, run one calendar
A small Kathmandu agency with three clients, each on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, has 9 accounts to manage. On free plans that's three tools minimum, with no client review links. One low-cost paid plan usually pays for itself in the hours saved switching tabs. Our guide to managing multiple social media accounts covers the setup either way.
Whichever option you choose, know what a stack of free plans costs you. These are the things we see small teams miss first:
One calendar. With three tools, nobody can see that two brands are posting a Tihar offer at the same hour.
Client sign-off. Free plans rarely include approvals, so drafts end up as screenshots in chat apps.
History. Short analytics windows and, on Publer Free, no published-post history make monthly reporting slow.
Handover. If the person who set up the logins leaves, you're resetting passwords across several services.
If Publer is one of the tools on your list, our Publer alternatives roundup compares it with other options at a similar price.

Per-channel and per-account pricing is cheap for two or three accounts and adds up past that. Flat plans work the other way. For the agency above, GoBrandIt Agency's 10 client workspaces keep each client's accounts, calendar and approvals separate. See workspaces for agencies or compare every plan on our pricing page.
Set up GoBrandIt Free for three accounts
If GoBrandIt's free plan fits, here's the fastest way to get going.
1. Sign up free, no card needed.
2. Connect your three most active accounts, for example a Facebook Page, an Instagram account and a TikTok account.
3. Invite one teammate. Free includes 2 team members, so nobody shares a password.
4. Set your Posting Schedule, then use Add to Queue so posts land in your usual time slots.
5. Write one post and let the composer give each network its own version. Our guide to posting to multiple platforms shows the steps.
When you need a fourth account, Creator moves you to 10 accounts and 30 scheduled posts, with a 14-day trial and a 7-day money-back guarantee.
