LinkedIn now has its own scheduler, so the first question isn't which LinkedIn post scheduler to buy. It's whether you need one at all. For a consultant posting three times a week from a personal profile, LinkedIn's built-in tool may be enough. For a founder who also runs a company Page, an X account and an Instagram, it won't be.
Our pick for the best LinkedIn post scheduling tool for professionals depends on one thing: what else you post to. LinkedIn-only and serious about growth? Taplio, if the price fits. LinkedIn plus a few other networks on a budget? Buffer or Publer, both of which handle profiles and Pages on free plans. Want AI captions in your own voice, first comments and a design tool for under $5 a month? That's where GoBrandIt fits, with one honest caveat: we support LinkedIn profiles today, and LinkedIn Pages are coming soon.
Every fact below comes from each tool's own website or LinkedIn's help center, checked on 13 October 2026.
The short version
LinkedIn's native scheduler works for profiles and Pages, up to 3 months ahead, and costs nothing.
Buffer and Publer support both profiles and Pages on their free plans.
Taplio is LinkedIn-only with growth and lead tools, but has no free plan.
GoBrandIt supports LinkedIn profiles now. Pages are coming soon.
LinkedIn post scheduler comparison
Before the table, a quick filter. For professionals, four things decide whether a LinkedIn post scheduler earns its place:
Profile vs Page support. Most consultants and founders post mainly from a personal profile, not a company Page. Make sure the tool handles the one you actually post from.
First comment scheduling. Many people keep links out of the post body and add them in the first comment. A tool that schedules both saves you hovering over your phone.
Writing help that sounds like you. Generic AI copy is easy to spot on LinkedIn. Look for tools that learn your tone.
What else you post to. If LinkedIn is one of five networks, a LinkedIn-only tool means paying twice.

Tip
Metricool, a popular free scheduler, leaves LinkedIn out of its free plan. Check that before you build a workflow around it.
1. LinkedIn's native scheduler: free and good enough for many
LinkedIn's help center says you can schedule a post from 10 minutes to 3 months ahead. On desktop, start a post, write it, click the clock icon, choose a date and time, then Schedule. The mobile app has the same clock icon. A badge on it shows how many posts are waiting.
Company Pages work too, with a few more rules. Only super admins and content admins can schedule, the window runs from one hour to three months ahead, and events, multi-photo posts, reshares, polls, jobs and service posts can't be scheduled.
Good: free, no extra login, native formatting.
Catch: no queue, no other networks, no approvals, and no help writing. Every post is a manual date pick.
2. Buffer: the safe multi-network pick
Buffer's pricing page lists both LinkedIn Pages and personal profiles with automatic publishing. The free plan covers 3 channels with 10 scheduled posts per channel, an AI Assistant and a community inbox. Paid plans are priced per channel: $5 a month on Essentials and $10 on Team, which adds approvals.
Good: very easy to learn, and first comment scheduling covers LinkedIn on paid plans.
Catch: profiles get basic analytics only; advanced analytics are for Pages. Per-channel pricing climbs fast if you run many accounts.
3. Publer: most free room, profiles and Pages
Publer's help center lists LinkedIn "Personal Profiles & Business Pages" among its 13 supported networks. Publer Free gives you 3 social accounts with up to 10 scheduled posts each at a time, and all supported post types except on X, which isn't available on Free.
Good: posting-schedule slots, link shortening with UTM tags and Canva integration, all on the free plan.
Catch: on Free, published posts are removed from Publer after 24 hours, so you can't look back at your history there.
4. Taplio: built only for LinkedIn
Taplio is the specialist. Its pricing page lists post scheduling with custom daily schedules, AI post writing, image and carousel generation, analytics, and a lead database with outreach tools. There's no free plan; you get a 7-day trial with full Pro access. The page showed two different sets of monthly prices when we checked, so confirm the current price on Taplio's pricing page before you start the trial.
Its homepage pitches a weekly rhythm: queue a full week and let Taplio post at times tuned to your followers. It also says it learns your voice from your past posts and edits, which matters on a network where readers notice templated writing fast.
Good: the deepest LinkedIn-specific tooling here, especially for founders and recruiters who use LinkedIn to find leads or candidates.
Catch: LinkedIn only, and noticeably pricier than a general scheduler. If you also need Instagram or TikTok, you'll pay for two tools.
5. Hootsuite: for bigger teams
Hootsuite's guide says you can add both LinkedIn profiles and Pages, and its Bulk Composer can schedule up to 350 posts at once. It has no free plan. The plans page lists Standard from $99 per user a month on annual billing, with a 14-day trial.
That's a lot for a solo consultant. It's built for marketing teams who need bulk posting, listening and reporting across many accounts. If that's not you, see our Hootsuite alternatives.
6. GoBrandIt: AI that writes like you, from $0
We'll be straight about the limit first: GoBrandIt connects LinkedIn personal profiles today. LinkedIn Pages are coming soon. If your main account is a company Page, use Buffer, Publer or LinkedIn's own scheduler for now.
For profile posting, here's what you get. You describe your business, personality and tone once in Brand Voice, and every AI caption writes in it, so a draft sounds like you, not like a press release. You can schedule a first comment on LinkedIn (handy for the link you don't want in the post body), use "Adapt with AI" to turn your LinkedIn post into versions for X, Threads or Instagram, and drop posts into a queue that follows your posting schedule. The Social Designer makes carousel images up to 10 pages.
Free covers 3 accounts and 15 scheduled posts. Creator is $4.99 a month for 10 accounts and 30 scheduled posts. One more honest note: our best-time-to-post suggestions don't cover LinkedIn profiles. More on our LinkedIn integration page.
How to pick the best LinkedIn post scheduling tool for professionals
Match the tool to how you actually use LinkedIn:
Consultant posting from a profile, LinkedIn only: start with the native scheduler. Upgrade when you want AI help or a queue.
Founder with a profile and a company Page: Buffer or Publer, since both cover profiles and Pages.
Recruiter or salesperson using LinkedIn for outreach: Taplio's lead tools are the reason to pay more.
Profile plus Instagram, X or Threads, on a small budget: GoBrandIt, for Brand Voice captions and per-network versions.
Marketing team with many accounts: Hootsuite.
Whichever you pick, the habits matter more than the tool. Batch your posts weekly, write your hook first, and put links in the first comment when you want the post itself to stay clean. Our step-by-step guide on how to schedule LinkedIn posts covers the setup in detail.
Write LinkedIn posts in your own voice
Set up Brand Voice, connect your LinkedIn profile and schedule your first week on GoBrandIt Free. No card needed.
